Janet joined NorthShore’s Perinatal Family Support Center (PFSC) as a Family Support Specialist in 2005; in 2016, she was promoted to lead the program. Janet’s previous professional work experience was in child welfare, and included Specialized Foster Care and adoption work in Ohio and Massachusetts, respectively. Since joining PFSC, her focus centers around maternal/child health, with emphasis on supporting high-risk pregnant and postpartum patients. Janet particularly enjoys working with families who have babies in the neonatal intensive care setting, as well as those who experience a perinatal or neonatal loss. Winslow says, “It is truly an honor to walk alongside families who are in the midst of one of the hardest experiences of their lives, offering support and and acting as a guide during the often unexpected and uncharted emotional territory”. She is involved in numerous hospital initiatives that focus on improving outcomes for the most vulnerable patients and their families.
Janet earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Earlham College, Richmond, IN and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
Shweta Nayak, MD, FACOG

Dr. Nayak is an advocate for women’s health and the preservation of a woman’s reproductive potential. Committed to offering unparalleled care to her patients, Dr. Nayak finds the most fulfilling aspect of her career is the relationships she has built with her patients.
Dr. Nayak is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology; she is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Nayak is a Clinician Educator for the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and is actively involved in teaching medical students, OBGYN, and Family Practice residents.
Dr. Nayak was invited to begin her career at Magee-Women’s hospital as an Assistant Professor, where she remained on the cutting edge of assisted reproductive technology. Her dedication to academic medicine led to the publication of several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters as well as to regional and national presentations. Recognized for her professional excellence, commitment, and compassion, Dr. Nayak embarked on the next chapter of her professional career with Reproductive Medicine Institute when she joined Team RMI, working in their Skokie and Chicago offices. Dr. Nayak is dedicated to providing care for all patients with reproductive conditions.
