Tristan (8 years old) and Cordelia (about-to-be 5 years old)

Why were you drawn to the position at CLTF?
It's important to me to feel like my work is contributing to making people's lives better, and CLTF undoubtedly does that in a very personal and direct way. My oldest was a NICU baby (PPROM) and that experience was really difficult for me; the NICU and loss communities are near and dear to my heart.

What is your favorite activity to do with your kids? On your own?
With my kids, baking or gardening. On my own, reading and singing.

If you could switch lives with any fictional character for a day, who would it be and why?
This is so obscure, but Daine from Tamora Pierce's Immortals series, because she has magic that allows her to communicate with, heal, and transform into animals, and she has a baby dragon companion.

If you could have one superpower for a day, what would it be and how would you use it?
If it's just for a day, I'd want to be able to talk to non-human animals. Yes, this answer was influenced by my answer to the previous question :3c I'd talk to the animals in and around my house, nothing too fancy.

How long do you think you'd survive in a zombie apocalypse?
Realistically, probably not that long, haha.

If you were a dog, what breed would you be?
Honestly, I'd be a cat :) I outsourced this question to my mom and sister in law, who are both very into dogs. My mom said a Tibetan Terrier, and my sister in law said a Basenji or maybe a Whippet since I'm always cold!

What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Loyal, compassionate, and loud

What are you binging these days?
My favourite anime, Yuri!!! On Ice

What is your favorite movie of all time?
The Princess Bride

What is your favorite book of all time?
I think this question is impossible for me to answer, I usually read between 300-400 books a year!
But a book that I re-read at least once a year is The Lightning-struck Heart by TJ Klune - I know it will make me cry, but it will also make me cry laughing.

What would you want to say to your 16-year-old self?
You don't need to be quite that edgy, it's really not that much extra effort to be kind. Kindness leads to fewer regrets.

Cook at home or delivery?
Cook at home (or playing sous chef to my spouse, who is a much better cook than me)

What are you snobby about? (no judgments)
I'm a Vermonter, I will admit I'm snobby about maple syrup!
